System Display Issues:

Q: Should I disable my pop-up blocking software during my E-Training sessions?
A: You will need to actively disable any pop-up blocking software you have running. Display errors can occur if this is not done.

Q: Should I disable any toolbars on my Web browser during my E-Training sessions?
A: Toolbars, such as Yahoo, Google and others should be disabled during your E-Training session.

Q: Should cookies be deleted before I begin my E-Training sessions?
A: You should delete any cookies and temporary internet files from your browser options window.

Q: Do I need Microsoft Windows Script software for my E-Training sessions?
A: In some cases, you may need to
download Microsoft® Windows Script 5.6 for Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

Q: Are there any screen resolution or font settings to be noted?
A: Some display issues can be resolved by selecting a screen resolution of 1024x768. Font size should be set to Normal. These settings can be found under Display Properties.

Operational Issues:

Q: How do I bookmark my E-Training session so I can pick up where I left off?
A: To save your place while in the middle of a topic, click on the Bookmark link from the navigation area on the left. To return to your saved location(s), click the Bookmark link to view a list of bookmarks.

Q: Once I’ve completed a topic, what do I do next?
A: To let the system know you have completed a topic, it is important that you reach the very last screen in the topic. This screen will usually direct you on what to do next.

Q: How do I review notes I've taken via the Notes function?
A: To review your notes you may need to use the History link to return the the lesson and topic where you took the notes. Enter the topic, then select the Notes link. A list of your notes and the pages associated with them will be displayed.

Q: How long will my E-Training session sit idle before timing out?
A: The session will time out after two hours of inactivity. If your session is idle for that amount of time, you will need to restart your session and will lose any work that was done prior to the time out.

Q: How do I access my Exams? How do I prepare for the secure testing environment?
A: You will access Exams just like other training using the links provided. To prepare for an Exam, we suggest you close all other applications including the termination of any Virtual Connection Networks (VCNs) that may be running. Contact your IT Department if this is the case.
